This MRes corresponds to the first year of the STOR-i programme. It begins with more directed teaching from professors and flows into more independent research throughout the year. For my undergraduate degree, I studied\u00a0statistics in Glasgow. Whilst I first joined a\u00a0BSc\u00a0combined\u00a0finance and statistics for the first two years, I then transitioned onto an integrated master\u2019s degree in statistics.\u00a0 Throughout the MSci I explored a wide range of statistical topics including, Bayesian inference, flexible regression and probability theory.\u00a0 This degree also included a work placement year which I undertook with\u00a0Public Health Scotland and Information Service Division.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
