As a PhD student at the STOR-i (Statistics & Operational Research with Industry) Centre for Doctoral Training at ¶¶Òõ̽̽App, my research is based in the field of Operational Research, specifically Forecasting and Inventory Optimisation, and is conducted in partnership with Jaguar Land Rover.

I am currently focused on developing long-term forecasting models for intermittent demand to support sustainable decision-making.

I was recently awarded the Statistical Excellence Award for Early Career Writing by the Royal Statistical Society for my article “Surfing the Korean Wave” published in Significance Magazine in December 2023.

My article “Could Mathematics be Big at the Box Office?” won the 2021 Institute of Mathematics and its Applications Graham Hoare Prize and was published in Mathematics Today. In 2023, I joined the Institute and its Applications Early Career Mathematicians Committee as Vice-Chair.

I am passionate about challenging preconceptions about what it means to be a mathematician and making mathematical concepts accessible to all. I love science communication and have spoken at numerous outreach events.

Heidelberg Laureate Forum (Sep 2023)

I was recently chosen from several hundred applicants through an international scientific selection process to attend the Heidelberg Laureate Forum. As one of the young researchers selected, I had the chance to network with winners of the prestigious awards in Mathematics and Computer Science, including Fields Medalist Hugo Duminil-Copin and Turing Award recipient Richard Stearns, as well as other participants representing over 60 countries.

In my spare time, I love to dance and watch Korean dramas (K-Dramas). I like writing, having had short plays staged in both London and Cambridge, and was introduced as as one of twenty-five new voices in British Cinema as an attendee of the British Film Institute (BFI) Academy for Screenwriting. I feel most myself when I have a pen in my hand, working on either a mathematical problem or a story.
