Between Thursday 26 – Saturday 28 October 2023 CeMoRe will host the UK/EU Hub of this year’s annual T2M conference. The main conference is taking place in Seoul, South Korea this year, but our Hub provides an opportunity for participants from the UK and Europe to present their papers to a live audience here as well as colleagues online (through live-streaming facilities).

Hubs are now becoming increasingly popular for international association conferences (e.g. the Royal Geographical Association conference) as delegates become ever more aware of ethical decisions when it comes to long-distance travel, and this is obviously something that CeMoRe is keen to support.

Those presenting at the Hub will also have registered with T2M, but we are very happy for colleagues from Lancaster and elsewhere to attend our in-person event at the day delegate rate of £35 per day.

Please see here for a copy of the full programme: T2M Lancaster Hub Programme

The Hub will also feature an art exhibition – ‘Rocky Futures’ – in the form of three live video events streamed from destinations across the globe on the theme of geology, mobilities and the climate emergency. Please see this link for full details.

There will also be a “Kitchen stand-up” session to celebrate Monika Buscher’s retirement. Time: Oct 27, 2023 01:15 PM London

Join Zoom Meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85829882520
